Dr. Jutta Stoll, attorney-at-law

The law firm was founded in 1990 by Dr. Jutta Stoll.

Dr. Jutta Stoll was born in Nuremberg in 1956. She studied at the Universities of Saarbrücken, Geneva and Heidelberg with a scholarship of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes  and passed her First State Exam in Law („Referendarexamen“) in 1980 with the grade „Gut“ [equivalent to „Very good“]. In 1981, she received a doctor of laws „summa cum laude“ (Dr. Jur.). The topic of her thesis was „Agreements between State and Foreign Investor“ (1982).

She worked as a scientific assistant at the University of Heidelberg and at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law from 1981 to 1982. In 1983, she received postgraduate judicial service training („Referendariat“) in Heidelberg and passed her Second State Exam in Law („Assessorexamen“) with the grade „Vollbefriedigend” [equivalent to „Good“] and spent her legal internship („Wahlstation“) at the World Bank in Washington D.C.

In addition, she studied Law in the United States of America and graduated from Georgetown University with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in 1984. Following her successfully passed bar examination she was admitted to the bar in the District of Columbia in 1985. Dr. Jutta Stoll was admitted to the district court of Frankfurt am Main in 1986. She joined the law firm Pünder, Volhard & Weber (currently known as Clifford Chance) in Frankfurt in 1986 staying until 1989.

Dr. Jutta Stoll may appear before all courts in Germany with the exception of the division for civil matters of the Federal Supreme Court (BGH).

Besides German, her mother tongue, Dr. Jutta Stoll speaks English fluently and also has a good listening comprehension of French and Spanish.
